The Beatles back in Rome ! - 26th may 2012
Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Piazza Cavour there will be a music marathon to celebrate the 'Bugs' and their music which accompanied the generation of the '60s and beyond.
At 50 years since their first album - Love me do - now young and old - who lost the chance to attend this concert, which cost time 2 000 and 700 pounds - can relive those emotions to the sound ofhits like Yellow Submarine, Let It Be, Help, Ticket to ride or All you need is love.
To commemorate the historic passage of the Beatles in Rome, of which we have no decent recordings at that time because they thought the RAI does not sufficiently interesting, the marathon, organized by the President of the Town Hall XVII Antonella De Giusti and produced by Elly Travel with Mitinitaly, will begin at10.30 with a spectacular performance by the Banda Musicale of Rome Capital Police (Traffic Wardens of Banda), made up of 70 musicians arranged on the steps of Palazzaccio of Rome.
The festival, then, will be animated by the perfromance strictly '60s style of bands born of Prati in schools and the city, the average high school Dante Terenzio Mamiani proposing the exact same lineup that the Fab Four realized in 1965.
Among the groups are confirmed Alighieri Band, Alma, Bluk, Queen of Phaedrus, Electric Chairs, Helena, Hollywood Revolver, Lithops, Notes, undisciplined, Route 66, Tequila Sunrise, Triptisol.
Speakers on stage two of Beatles fans like Rick Hutton, pioneer "VJ", now conductor of Radio Città Futura and Alfredo Saitto that will explain why the "perfect song" Yesterday is.
Meal tickets for youngsters will be offered by the organizers because they rifocillino one of the historic food Via Tacito.
