HAPPY 2765 BIRTHDAY, ROME !
Saturday, April 21, 2012 Rome celebrates its 2,765 th birthday.
For this occasion, the Capital offers the public the opportunity to take part in many events.
From Friday 20 to Sunday, April 22, 2012 you will find a program that ranges from theofficial celebrations and institutional appointments with the tradition and customs, from exhibitions to music, from free visits to museums, civic events of historical, artistic and entertainment events.
As has become tradition in the days of Christmas in Rome - which this year falls within the fourteenth week of culture (14 to 22 April 2012) - Civic Museum will be open with free admission (except only the exhibits in the exhibition space Ara Pacis and theCapitoline Museums.
On the evening of Saturday, April 21, 2012, from 20.30, the Via dei Fori Imperiali(height Trajan's Markets) will be the scene of the play "The stars of Rome" with singers, musicians, actors who will perform live.
Are expected among others Luca Barbarossa, Maurizio Battista, Mario Biondi, ElenaBonelli, Paul Bonolis, Lorella Cuccarini, Lando Fiorini, Simona Marchini, EnricoMontesano, Andrea Morricone, Ennio Morricone and Andrea Perrozzi in a series ofperformances dedicated to their relationship with the city.

The event is promoted by the Cultural Affairs and Historical Center of Rome Capital.Also on Saturday, from 23 until midnight, the Markets of Trajan become the stage for aspectacle of color and light projections.
As per tradition, the celebration of "Christmas in Rome" include cultural events, shows,free opening of the Civic Museum, the official celebrations which will begin to alternatefrom Friday 20 until Sunday 22 April.
